The Project Manager, Web Development is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all web projects. They will serve as the link between internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product and more. They will work closely with designers and developers and act as the liaison between the web team and internal stakeholders. In this role, it’s important that you can keep up with what the web developers are talking about! DNS, CSS and API should be acronyms and concepts that you are ready to help the team organize and tackle!

The Project Manager, Web Development is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all web projects. They will serve as the link between internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product and more. Proficiencies:

Familiarity with Accelo, Asana, Jira or similar project management software
Proficiency with GSuite
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with Agile development a bonus
Understanding of technical terminology and concepts related to development

Our Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate has experience guiding teams — both internal and external — through the web development pipeline, from intake of projects and requests, on through scoping, planning, execution and deployment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing timelines, clearly setting expectations, and realigning expectations internally as priorities change
  • Gathering functional requirements and documenting them as a client-ready deliverable
  • Develop and track project plans and provide regular status reporting- with regards to time, scope, resources, budget, and issue management.
  • Managing and organizing client documentation
  • Develop detailed project plans and proactively monitor progress
  • Lead and successfully deliver projects and deliverables on-time and within budget, ensuring all requirements are achieved
  • Communicate with the team and ensure all members are on board with delegated tasks
  • Conduct and/or support effective meetings with internal stakeholders, providing accurate and concise deliverables, clear expectations, and visibility regarding milestones and status
  • Build, organize, manage, and structure team projects, while identifying potential issues, dependencies, and proactively resolving them before they affect deliverable timelines
  • Being aware of upgrade opportunities within existing engagements, or new opportunities within a client’s organization
  • Recognizing blockers and working with teams to determine root cause, ensuring responsible parties are informed and acting swiftly to resolve
  • You display a high degree of honesty, integrity, and trust to everyone involved in the project
  • You can pick up new processes, tools, and technology quickly and you’re excited to learn new things
  • Effectively communicate across multiple teams of various disciplines and workstreams, hosting forums to review plans and progress, track actions and commitments, and driving initiatives to implementation and ongoing improvement

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in project management (agency experience preferred)
  • Extensive experience project managing various small to large scale projects, ranging from web design to web development
  • Previous experience with and knowledge about web design and development
  • Experience working between in-house marketing teams, creative partners, agency partners, and technical teams
  • Proven ability to build trusting relationships across the organization, collaboration, and leading through influence
  • Implemented and previously run strategic, large-scale initiatives projects in a change-oriented, fast-paced environment requiring deadline-driven productivity
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities to organize, project manage, and drive a highly productive team to meet cross-functional targets and deadlines
  • Strong track record managing stakeholders and operating in a cross-functional environment
  • Resourcefulness, persistence, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
